St. Pete residents take to their balconies to clap for first responders, healthcare providers

St. Pete residents are looking to show their love for those who are putting their community ahead of themselves. Every night, around 8pm, residents are taking to their patios, porches, and balconies to applaud the efforts and work of first responders and healthcare providers in the Sunshine City.

Organizers are hoping this small act of kindness spreads throughout the community. All of this is done form the comfort of ones own home. This isn’t a campaign encouraging folks to gather in a group. It’s another small way we can all be alone together.

A St. Pete resident is looking to start a cheering section for first responders, and healthcare providers in the 'Burg! The We Clap Because We Care campaign encourages residents to cheer from their porch/balcony/patio every night at 8pm in an effort to fill the city with cheer and gratitude.
