St. Pete to host special Holiday Movies in the Park

‘Tis the season for Christmas classics. I personally wait all year to indulge in the claymation glory of those old Rankin Bass films. And I mean who doesn’t love Elf and It’s a Wonderful Life? They fill viewers up with nostalgia, holiday cheer, and provide that sweet sugary happy ending. Tie it in a bow, ya know?

This December, this city is hosting two special holiday film screenings at beautiful Vinoy Park. The park will of course be decked out in holiday decor to really amplify the movie watching experience.

Holiday classics under the stars

Film screenings will take place on Saturday, December 14 and Saturday, December 21. Each event will begin at 7pm and is free and open to the public (your pup is invited, too!).

The December 14 film will be The Search for Santa Paws, and the December 21 film is The Santa Clause.

Snowfest, Santa Parade and more in the ‘Burg

That’s not all that’s happening during Holidays in the Sunshine. The ‘Burg’s special tree lighting ceremony in North Straub Park takes place on November 30 at 6pm. Snowfest brings a blizzard of fun to the waterfront on December 7 from 9am-2pm.

A full list of holiday happenings can be found on St. Pete Parks & Rec’s website.

Miracle Bar makes its return

The NYC-based Miracle Pop Up Bar, basically the wildest, booziest office party you’ve ever been to, returns to Intermezzo beginning on Black Friday.

Sundial St. Pete will also host a special tree lighting ceremony, complete with snow machines, later in November.

A Mistletoe Market will be held at Horan Park in St. Pete Beach on December 7.
