The City of St. Petersburg’s Bay Vista Recreation Center is hosting a school supply drive to help St. Pete students entering grades K-8 prepare for the upcoming school year. The donation drop-off location will be Bay Vista Recreation Center, 7000 4th St. S, from now until July 31. The center will be accepting donations of new items Monday through Thursday, 8am-8pm:
Suggested donations include:
- Backpacks
- Folders
- Notebook paper
- Pencils
- Pens
- Crayons
- Markers
- Glue sticks
- Rulers
- Scissors
Donated school supplies will be made available for students entering Kindergarten through 8th grade on a limited basis at the Backpack Giveaway event on Saturday, August 10, from 1pm-4pm at the center. The event will also include fun activities such as bounce houses, music, and free food.
Families that would like to receive school supplies must register online between July 15 and August 1 here.
