St. Pete Records Grand Opening in Edge District

St. Pete is a city of music lovers. Bananas Music boasts one of the largest record collections in the world. Daddy Kool Records keeps local audiophiles up to date on the latest releases from the most groundbreaking bands in the industry. Planet Retro Records is a mural-coated home brimming with music history. ARTpool Gallery’s eclectic selection of comics, clothes and vintage accessories is complemented by a fine record collection.

St. Pete Records is the latest concept to join the vinyl movement downtown. It began as a single bin on the first floor Furnish Me Vintage before blossoming into a full store on the second floor. Have a collection you’re looking to sell? St. Pete Records will buy your vinyl. With a wide variety of genres, St. Pete Records offers everything from classic rock to jazz to exotica.

Vintage gear for audiophiles

Additionally, St. Pete Records is home to Rick’s Vintage, offering professionally serviced vintage audio gear as well as a selection of turntables, receivers, speakers, and microphones. Whether you’re a newbie buying a new stereo system or a seasoned music collector looking to dust off the old turntable, St. Pete Records ensures to grow your passion for music.

For those nostalgic for the vintage lifestyle in addition to the music, a clothing boutique by Jenique Hendrix has also been added to the store. A selection of old-school clothes, arcade games, and blacklight posters will certainly take shoppers back in time.

Grand opening celebration planned for August 26

To celebrate their grand opening, St. Pete Records is throwing a party on Saturday, August 26th from 6-9pm. The Furnish Me Vintage showroom will host a fashion show featuring clothes by several designers including Jenique Hendrix. Aerialists Jhenie Rivera and Sabrina Maldonado will perform the elegant acts of gravity defiance. If you didn’t already get enough music the four-piece Jazz quartet, Gloria West the Gents, will round out the festive evening.

PopUp Shop+Kitchen and local breweries will be providing the food and drink. Don’t miss out on the one-night-only discounts on vinyl, clothing and furniture. Be sure to enter the raffle as St. Pete Records will be giving away prizes such as a Stanton turntable.
