Fireworks are back in St. Pete for the 4th of July, the city of St. Pete announced that the St. Pete Pier will play host to a Fourth of July celebration this year. The sprawling 26-acre waterfront playground is the perfect place for the. summertime celebration.
“Join us for the inaugural “The Fourth”, Independence Day Celebration at St. Pete Pier,” write event organizers on the official St. Pete Pier page. This 3-day event is filled with fun activities for all, including the inaugural St. Pete Pier Run, Silent Disco, Gulp Coast Craft Beer Garden, Food Trucks & Vendors, Pie Eating Contest, Live Music on the Visit St. Pete Clearwater Main Stage, Karaoke, Independence Day Movie, roaming entertainers, and so much more!
A major celebration on the St. Pete Pier
The traditional Fourth of July fireworks show sponsored by the City of St. Pete is scheduled for Sunday, July 4th, at 9 pm and will be visible from the entire Downtown waterfront, including Bayshore Dr., Straub Parks, Vinoy Park, and others.

The festivities will run from Friday, July 2, through Sunday, July 4.

The festivities will also include a screening of Independence Day on the St. Pete Pier’s Tilted Lawn at 8:30pm.
Hungry visitors can enjoy a food truck alley at pier point from 5pm-10pm. Karaoke/open mic will be held on the Great Lawn from 5pm-9pm.
Friday will also include a silent disco and the Gulp Coast Beer Garden.
Here’s what’s going down on July 3
The fun begins at the St. Pete Pier on Saturday, July 3 at noon. There will be a MainStage for live music. Saturday is also the date to pick up your St. Pete Pier Fun Run Packet. You can also enjoy a 40 yard dash and pie eating contest that day.
Another movie on the the Tilted Lawn is set for Saturday night. Organizers will screen the follow to the original Independence Day, Independence Day Resurgence.
The Gulp Coast Beer Garden, silent disco, karaoke, and Food Truck Alley are all back on Saturday as well.
Celebrating the 4th of July on the St. Pete Pier
It’s the main event. Get ready for the St. Pete Pier fun run, live music, the return of the beer garden and silent disco, and of course the anticipated food truck alley.
The big fireworks display is set for 9pm on Sunday, July 4th.
The City of Tampa also announced the return of its massive Boom by the Bay fireworks display.
