Where will you watch the ball drop? From rooftop parties to white sand celebrations, here are the key events happening in St. Pete on New Year’s Eve (Dec. 31) you can’t miss:

NYE Black + White Party at Park & Rec and The Avenue
Toast to the new year at the hottest NYE party projecting the biggest NYE countdown in Downtown St. Pete. NYE Kiss at Dog Bar St. Pete
Come out with your loyal love, your faithful Fido, your sweet shnookums for some New Year’s Eve fun! Ketel One is hosting the party this year; Ketel One’s Kiss your dog at midnight! Drink specials all night and a champagne toast at midnight. Party starts at 7pm. 2300 Central Ave.

First Night St. Pete
First Night St. Petersburg’s 25th Annual New Year’s Eve celebration of the Arts.First Night St. Petersburg is the largest family friendly New Year’s Eve Celebration of the Arts in the great State of Florida. Ring in the New Year with music, drama, games, comedy, lights, dance, fire, bubbles, stories, creative fun, fireworks and much more. The festivities begin at 4pm and run through midnight. Advance tickets are $12 for adults, $5 for children (6-12), Children 5 and under can attend the events for free. Day of tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for children (6-12) and children 5 and under enjoy the events for free.

New Year’s Salsa in St. Pete at the Museum of Fine Art
We are located in front of the Museum of Fine Art, in the center of the huge amount of great family festivities across the whole downtown and waterfront area. DJ Manny will be playing your favorite Salsa, Merengue, Bachata, Cha Cha Cha. Bring your instruments and play along with DJ Manny!
They’ll teach 30 min. classes throughout the evening and get the crowd dancing with you in front of the museum, on the steps, the sidewalk, the grass…everywhere! Event starts at 8pm. 255 Beach Dr NE.

New Years at Noon at Great Explorations Children’s Museum
Ring in the New Year starting with a dance party, making your own festive New Year’s Hat, and posting your New Year’s resolution.Make sure to stick around to watch the big 1000 balloon drop taking place at noon! Activities included in admission/membership. Event is from 10am-2pm. 1925 4th St North.

Cantina New Year’s 2018 at Red Mesa Cantina
Cantina is ringing in 2018 by throwing their biggest New Year Celebration ever. All three floors will be open with special cocktails at each bar. Enjoy free hats, tiaras, noisemakers, beads, and music.  No cover charge. Party runs from 9pm-3am. 128 3rd St South.

Winter Wonderland New Year’s Eve at The Birchwood
Celebrate New Year’s Eve in a true Winter Wonderland. Enjoy two floors of open bar, hors d’oeuvres, dinner buffet, live band in the grand ballroom, DJ on the rooftop and a champagne toast at midnight. Doors open at 8pm. Tickets are $176.23 in advance. Swingin’ in the New Year at St. Pete Coliseum
Ring in 2018 with Swingin’ The New Year, a grand New Year’s Eve celebration for all ages, featuring UK swing sensations, The Jive Aces, at the historic Coliseum during the 10th anniversary celebration! Enjoy live music and dancing from 9 pm to 1 a.m., swing dance lessons, a midnight countdown and balloon drop, a vintage fashion photo shoot and contest, party favors and chocolates, prizes and a full cash bar with champagne toasts. Taste of Bavaria NYE Party at Hofbrauhaus
Welcome in 2018 with a taste of Bavaria.The party kicks off as they celebrate the new year in Germany at 6pm our time. 69 Boyz & Boyz Wit Da Bass at Jannus Live
High-energy party for anyone 18+, Oh and it’s “All You Can Responsibly Drink” for the 21 and older crowd. Music by DJ T-Quest, DJ Knex, and a special performance by DAYA. New Year’s Dinner with S.O.L at The Hollander Hotel

Toast by the Coast New Year’s Eve Party at TradeWinds
TradeWinds Island Resorts on St. Pete Beach hosts their annual gala in the Grand Ballroom, featuring an open bar, an extensive gourmet hors d’oeuvres buffet, and dancing to live music from Motel Funk, on NYE. New Year’s Eve 2018 Bad Prom at Mastry’s Brewing Co.
Join Mastry’s Brewing Co. for New Year’s Eve, as they ring in 2018 in (Bad Prom) style! Ladies get out those old dresses and men dig out those cummerbunds… This will be a night to remember! NYE at the 360 Rooftop Lounge at Kimpton Hotel Zamora
Start the year from the top at the 360° Rooftop with unrivaled views of St. Pete Beach and the city’s fireworks display. The event includes an open well bar, decadent desserts and a champagne buffet.
