Named one of the country’s Top 10 arts festivals by USA Today, St. Pete’s biggest art show is returning to the downtown waterfront this weekend. The 11th Annual St. Petersburg Fine Art Festival takes place February 8-9, transforming South Straub Park (198 Bayshore Dr NE) into an oasis of art, color and life.
Admission to the festival grounds is free, where more than 100 exceptional artisans from across Florida and the United States will transform the park into an outdoor gallery. Individual tents and tables will showcase original works spanning painting, photography, sculpture, metalwork, digital art, jewelry, glass, ceramics, woodworking, mixed-media, fiber art, and more.
Festivities take place from 10 am – 5 pm on Saturday and Sunday, February 8 and 9. Co-sponsored by the City of St. Petersburg and in collaboration with Theatre Odyssey, this annual favorite promises a two-day celebration of creativity.
If you’re searching for the perfect piece for your home or office, the St. Petersburg Fine Art Festival is one of the greatest collections of original artwork in the country, providing something for every need. The festival is always a popular spot to select a thoughtful gift, too. And if the curated collection doesn’t align with your vision, consider commissioning a bespoke, original artwork crafted just for you from one of the participating artisans.
As one of the longest-running festivals in St. Pete, this one holds a particular spot in our hearts. We love strolling through the sprawling festival grounds (typically with coffee in hand) as we chat with artists, peruse their incredible works, and enjoy the views of Tampa Bay.
While it’s no surprise to locals, we were thrilled to see the St. Petersburg Fine Art Festival earn the No. 9 spot in USA Today’s ranking of the top 100 art festivals in the United States. It’s quite the accolade for our homegrown celebration, and it speaks to both the quality and volume of the artwork on hand.
Parking immediately next to the festival grounds is limited, but there are plenty of nearby garages where you can find easy and affordable parking within just a few minutes walk:
- PLAZA TOWER Garage – 1st Street North
- SUNDIAL Garage – 117 2nd Street North
- SOUTH CORE Garage – 101 1st Avenue South

- MAACM Parking Garage – 350 3rd Street North
