One of Tampa Bay’s most treasured craft breweries has quietly been making some big moves. St. Pete Brewing Company, the downtown brewery named for the Sunshine City itself, has nearly doubled its tasting room footprint in a recent expansion, and just a few weeks they finished construction on a full kitchen. The full menu rolled out this week, giving even more reason to stick around for a good time.

The brewery has always been loved for its tasty brews, and the St. Pete Orange Wheat is one of the most popular local beers in town. Add in games, outdoor seating, and a prime location, and it’s no surprise St. Pete Brewing has become a favorite. The only “problems,” so to speak, were the smaller indoor seating area and the lack of a kitchen.

Now, the brewery has debuted solutions to both. St. Pete Brewing has expanded into the adjoining space alongside the tasting room, creating a stellar lounge and events venue dubbed ‘The Nest.’ Described as a creative space for creative people, The Nest showcases artists and hosts everything from live music and trivia nights to comedy shows and pop-up shops.

The new space, which seamlessly connects to the bar area, nearly doubles the amount of available seating, with comfy couches and low-slung chairs. This provides ample room to enjoy AC and beer at the same time (we highly recommend the Infinity IPA when available).

To make things even tastier, the brewery used a portion the extra space to build out a full kitchen, and the full menu debuted this week after soft. Options include build-your-won pizzas (the “St. Pete ‘Za”), meatballs, chicken wings (and tenders), pretzel bites, fish spread, and heaping piles of shoestring fries. There are also a pair of boards from Lolitas, with a massive charcuterie board and some buffalo bleu cheese dip.
