Making its debut this weekend, a sustainably sourced butcher is bringing its popular offerings to St. Pete. Southern Steer Butcher has its Grand Opening this Saturday, February 3, at 2145 66th St N in the Tyrone area of St. Pete.
Southern Steer already has two locations in the area, one each in Clearwater and Sarasota, and has developed a following for its “field to table” fresh ingredients. This new location in St. Pete specializes in marinated meats and custom cuts, while also providing a wide range of homemade sides, sauces, cheeses, dips, beer and wine, and more.

As part of the Grand Opening festivities, the first 25 people on Saturday will receive a free bottle of Southern Steer BBQ Sauce. Additionally, anyone who makes any purchase at all Saturday or Sunday will be entered into a sweepstakes to win prizes such as gift cards, meal packs, bottles of wine, or a grand prize of a free pound of chicken a week for an entire year.
Southern Steer St. Pete will be open Monday-Saturday from 10 am – 7 pm, and 10 am – 5 pm on Sundays. The butcher also offers meal packs, cooking classes, and rotating specials. Tuesdays, for example, provide discounts on marinated steak tips and chicken, as well as BOGO sides.
