Small Batch Creamery is 4th Street’s newest spot for sweet treats

Four ice cream cones with different flavors

A new ice cream parlor and sweets shop that just opened in St. Pete is already getting rave reviews. The locally-owned Small Batch Creamery, located at 5530 4th Street North, soft-opened at the end of June, bringing delectable homemade ice cream and baked goodies to the neighborhood.

Offering artisan ice cream and “bakery quality” desserts like cookies and brownies, Small Batch Creamery is an eclectic, funky and welcoming spot. Ice cream is available by the scoop, bowl or in cones, and their variety of flavors provide something for every palate. While they are in the soft opening phase now, a grand opening is expected in the coming weeks.

The favorite among early guests is no surprise for Florida, as the strawberry ice cream has taken center stage. The handcrafted ice cream is made with real Plant City strawberries, giving a local touch and a fresh taste to the scoops of goodness. Small Batch Creamery’s list of rotating flavors has so far included options like peanut butter, mint chocolate chip, Oreo, and much more. They also offer multiple vegan flavors, helping to provide something for everyone.

Sticking to their promise of “creating smiles one scoop at a time,” the ice cream shop is open seven days a week. Catch them at their listed hours of Monday-Thursday from 12-10 pm, and Friday-Sunday from 11 am – 11 pm. The friendly staff (and it’s often the owner behind the ice cream bar) will help anyone find the right flavor for them.

Hungry for more ice cream? National Ice Cream Day is this Sunday, so we have a list of all of our favorite ice cream spots in the Burg. And Small Batch Creamery will be marking the occasion with face painting, music, drawings and more this Sunday during operating hours. Follow them on facebook for more updates.
