UPDATE 11/18/19 9:42pm: The December classes at The Alligator Attraction are sold out, but the wildlife learning center will be offering Sloth Yoga twice per month. Stay tuned for January sessions to be announced.

Want to know what’s better than regular yoga? Sloth yoga. Up until the morning of November 18 I had no idea it was a thing. I’ve participated in kitten and goat yoga before, and both were equal parts adorable and rejuvenating. I have a special reserve of love specifically for sloths. Now Alligator Attraction, a wildlife learning center at John’s Pass, is introducing the public to sloth yoga.

This event is extremely limited on space, so we recommend you reserve a spot ASAP if you’re interested. It’s set to take place on December 15 and December 29 from 2-3pm.

So what’s Sloth Yoga all about?

It is an intermediate one hour yoga class with Kelly Kramer in Alligator Attraction’s new education room. Once you complete your class, you will get the chance to pet and feed your sloth classmate! Guests are encouraged to bring their cameras to take their own “slothie.” We are very much here for that new hybrid word.

Each class is limited to just 10 people and it costs $40 per person. Tickets can be purchased on the Alligator Attraction website.

If yoga isn’t your thing, there’s still plenty to experience at this John’s Pass gem. Tickets can be purchased to simply meet with sloths, hold a tarantula, snake or a baby gator, and more. You can also just enjoy general admission and see all wonderful creatures this attraction cares for.

You can get a glimpse at Alligator Attraction by following the animal rescue on Facebook and Instagram.
