Another new residential complex is coming soon to Downtown St. Pete as plans have been revealed for the ‘Tuxedo Court’ project on the corner of 8th St and 4th Ave South. The 15-story mixed-use building will house 260 residential units, as well as 2,700 square feet of ground floor retail/restaurant space.

Designed with a contemporary façade to fit in with its downtown neighbors, Tuxedo Court will feature extensive outdoor spaces, both on the ground floor and in a spacious fourth floor courtyard. Amenities planned include three pools surrounded by seating and relaxation areas, a dog walking area, and two outdoor kitchens. Next to that courtyard, Tuxedo Court will also offer guests a full fitness studio and clubhouse/game room.

Units will be available in a variety of one- and two-bedroom apartments and lofts in various layouts. Each unit will also have a balcony patio for residents overlooking either the pool area or the surrounding downtown skyline. The smaller one-bedroom units will range in size from 515-563 square feet, while the larger one-bedroom options will be between 647-997 square feet. Two bedrooms will range from 885-1,154 square feet, plus a handful of large two-bedroom lofts that will total 1,472 square feet.

Located near Tropicana Field and the cluster of hospitals and medical facilities along 6th Ave South, Tuxedo Court will bring much-needed living accommodations to the neighborhood. The 10 residences currently on the property are scheduled for demolition. Construction is expected to begin shortly after, following approval of the plans.

Construction plans also propose extensive landscaping outside the building, including ten-foot sidewalks, canopy trees, shrubs and street furniture “to support the public realm.” Additionally, plans call for 475 bicycle parking spaces and designated vehicle parking spaces for the retail space.

The building was designed by LK Architecture and Engineering. Stay tuned to I Love The Burg for more updates as news about the exciting new development continues to be released.
