Historic Uptown just got its own general store — and it’s bursting with local flavor. Pete’s General, located next to the newly opened Flatbread & Butter Co. at 495 7th Avenue North, is a concept featuring house-made bagels, local produce and a lot more.

It’s just entered its soft opening phase, with a grand opening set for Saturday, April 20. You know, the day when our cravings are at an all-time high.

Saturday Morning Market frequenters will be excited to hear that they’ll also be stocked with fresh and local organic produce from Worden Farm and Little Pond Farm. Among the local goods, you can find milk from Sarasota’s Dakin Dairy Farms and hyper-local honey from Queen & Colony Bee Company.

Beyond eats, Pete’s General is set to be the first non-mobile shop for the ever popular Posies Flower Truck. That’s right, now you can get those bright yellow sunflowers and fresh eucalyptus whenever you like at the flower bar. Our home is about to become a botanical beaut.

Oh, and don’t worry about the smear for that bagel. The Urban Canning Co’s spreads will be available at Pete’s General to add St. Pete flavor to your morning feast. Note to the hungry: get there early. They sold out of their fresh bagels within an hour of launching the soft opening.

Pete’s General is set to be open every day that “the sun shines in St. Pete” and even the ones when it doesn’t from 7am–9pm.
