When it comes to spending time with our pets, we’re all smiles. Thanks to one of our favorite local veterinary practices, our dogs and cats are smiling just as bright as we are whenever we walk in the door.

Pearly Bites, located at 11270 4th Street North, Suite 208, is our go-to for pet dental care in St. Pete, and they’ve become a local favorite thanks to their five-star service, flat-rate pricing, and personalized dental care for dogs and cats all over town. Unlike many veterinary general practices, Pearly Bites is focused exclusively on dental care. They are dedicated to doing one thing, and they are doing it incredibly well – protecting their patients’ teeth and gums.

Few areas of pet health are as important and as frequently overlooked as dental care, and proper treatment can make a world of difference for our furry loved ones. In our experience, once we know there’s a problem, it can be a particularly difficult situation to navigate between trying to nail down appointments, juggling estimates and finding a trusted veterinarian.

That’s where Pearly Bites has become a standout in St. Pete. The process from start to finish is easy, efficient, and streamlined, from online appointment booking and pre-treatment consultation, to their transparent and flat-rate pricing. From step one, all the way to bringing our pets home, it’s stress-free for us and smooth as can be for our furry family members.

Easy consultation and five-star service

The Pearly Bites experience consists of two steps, both of which are straightforward. It starts with a consultation visit where their Medical Director and veterinarian, Dr. Livermore, does a full mouth evaluation to determine what level of dental care your pet needs, followed by providing a flat-rate price for the treatment. The next visit is a drop-off for treatment, where their highly experienced team performs digital x-rays, administers anesthesia and performs the necessary dental procedure your pet needs – all in the same day.

Through it all, Pearly Bites works closely with your primary care veterinarian, ensuring their patients’ full history is known. This collaboration with their veterinary colleagues ensures your loved ones get the best and most personalized care possible.

How to know when your pet needs dental care

Often, the signs that our pet may need dental care aren’t always obvious. For starters, if your dog is over two years old, it’s recommended that they get a dental check-up just to catch any issues that may have developed while they were puppies.

Meanwhile, some of the key signs to keep an eye out for are bad breath, brown or yellow teeth, difficulty chewing, and swelling in or around the mouth. Often, there are easy solutions to any of these issues. But if left unchecked and untreated, they can quickly develop into serious issues for our pets.

If your furry friend is showing any of these signs (or is simply overdue for a dental checkup) we highly recommend checking out Pearly Bites and booking a consultation with Dr. Livermore. Appointments can be booked online or by calling 727-471-6407. The comfy Pearly Bites practice is located in the Bayview Shopping Centers at 11270 4th Street North, Suite 208.
