One of our favorite St. Pete success stories (and also one of our favorite places to eat in the Burg) just celebrated a big milestone. Pacific Counter, the beloved Pacific-inspired eatery, has officially reached its 5th anniversary of dishing out great eats in St. Pete and beyond.
Pacific Counter’s array of customizable bowls, rolls, hot dogs, juices, teas and, of course, Dole Whip, has made them a favorite for quick and tasty lunches and dinners. And there’s good reason they were selected to serve up their craveable creations at Tropicana Field.

Over the course of the past five years, Pacific Counter has established itself as a fixture in the local dining scene, not only serving innovative dishes but also fostering a sense of community and positivity. Through all of it, the company has thrived, with three locations now and two more on the way. In a time when restaurant closures have become all too common, Pacific Counter’s resilience shines brightly.
Founded in 2018 by Tanner Loebel, Tock Noythanongsay, and Eric Bialik, Pacific Counter’s journey commenced with a pledge to provide health-conscious, flavorful, and customizable dining options. The trio had decades of experience in the food industry before embarking on the Pacific Counter journey, and the results of their joint efforts speak for themselves.
“We’ve strived to create a unique dining experience that resonates with the community, and back it up with over-the-top customer service not normally expected at a fast-casual restaurant, said Loebel, Co-Founder and CEO. “These last few years haven’t been easy by any means, and last week’s storm underscores that, but we truly love what we do. We’re so happy to have the support from our local hometown community here in Tampa Bay.”
Pacific Counter, as it reaches its fifth anniversary, anticipates the opening of its fourth and fifth brick-and-mortar locations in Sarasota and Downtown Tampa, set to debut in October and December 2023. Additionally, a lease has been secured for the eagerly awaited Waterset project in Apollo Beach (2024), signaling a promising future for Pacific Counter’s ongoing expansion.
Noythanongsay, Executive Chef of Pacific Counter, added, “The last five years have taught us the importance of community, resilience, and a shared love for good food. We’ve grown not just as a restaurant but as a family, and we’re excited to keep spreading good vibes through our fun & flavorful dishes.”
As Pacific Counter commemorates this milestone, the company says that it steadfastly remains dedicated to its mission of serving fresh, flavorful foods that resonate with a diverse range of diners in the local community. With its award-winning blend of innovation, passion, and community support, Pacific Counter is poised for continued growth and success in the years to come.
