Hidden Gems: Ozzie’s Seafood Market in Pinellas Park

Ozzie’s Seafood Market needs to be on your must-visit list if you’re a fan of grouper sandwiches. You’ve probably heard of chicken and waffles, well Ozzie’s does it a little different with Fried Shrimp and Waffles covered in local hot hot. It’s a hard spot to miss on Park Boulevard. Just look for the vibrant aquatic mural, or punch in 6196 Park Boulevard in your GPS.

Their savory menu also includes items such as the oyster po boy, The grouper and cod fish baskets are also well worth a try. Fresh, local caught whole fish and filets are also available for purchase in the market.

One guest, Fred Pfiaum, enjoyed both the fried and grilled grouper baskets, raved about the gumbo, and complimented the kind owners. Additionally, Pfiaum wrote, “This the kind of place you might pass by if you didn’t know about it. Don’t make that mistake.”

Another guest, Ko, couldn’t say enough good things about meeting Ozzie himself, and sampling what was one the menu. “We did leave with a large shrimp moqueca which tastes freaking amazing. You can literally taste all of the ingredients churned together. This is not your average soup. Even the seafood gumbo was great as well. The tomato base really pops.”

The portions here are beyond generous. I highly encourage anyone looking to enjoy some seriously good seafood and customer service get out and experience this gem in Pinellas Park.
