Get your stein-hoisting muscles in shape – St. Pete’s biggest Oktoberfest celebration is back for round two. Presented by 3 Daughters Brewing, the 2nd Annual BayFirst Financial Oktoberfest is an all-day, beer-and-polka-fueled party by the water in Albert Whitted Park taking place on Saturday, October 26, from 1-6 pm, featuring everything from German beer and food to a massive local market and traditional Bavarian music and games.

General Admission tickets are $7 ($10 at the door), which include full access to the festival and its events, including the market, food trucks, beer tents, and games. VIP Biergarten tickets include an all-you-can-eat German buffet, three stein fills, an Oktoberfest stein, pretzel necklaces, a covered tent, and private air-conditioned bathrooms. Children 12 and under get in free but must be accompanied by an adult. Of note, organizers are monitoring the storm in the Gulf, and as of current forecasts, still plan for all festivities to be on.

The festival is a true Bavarian celebration, with authentic German polka bands playing all day (get your dancing shoes ready), traditional Oktoberfest games that are free to play (stein hoisting, anyone?), tons of great German food from local chefs and food trucks, and of course, kegs upon kegs of cold local and international beers. The festival will also feature a massive vendor market with more than three dozen of St. Pete’s best shops, makers and more. Following last year’s success, organizers are planning for an even bigger celebration this time around with more tents, more seating, more beer, and most importantly – more booths to get beer.

All together, the event will be the city’s premier Oktoberfest celebration, as the sprawling grounds will be host to a full day of waterfront fun. The entire festival is family-friendly, including games for kids (and kids at heart), as well ice cream and other kid-friendly eats.

Those who come in their best Lederhosen and Dirndl can compete for best-dressed prizes, and 3 Daughters will also be giving away a free Oktoberfest party at their brewery to one lucky winner. There will also be stein holding competitions throughout the day, a yodeling competition, and eating competition, Oktoberfest games and crafts, new beer releases, and a full food truck rally with some of our St. Pete favorites.

In addition to all the interactive fun, there will also be specialty Oktoberfest merchandise (including commemorative steins) and a photo booth. Food trucks will be making specialty Oktoberfest dishes as well as showcasing their usual great food. Great Bay Distributors will be showcasing a wide variety of local, national and international beers.
