Cheers, St. Pete, because a new cocktail lounge is set to debut in the EDGE District. COPA has been in the works for a couple of months. Brothers Maxim and Sébastien Thurière were raised in the Burg, and now they’re bringing some exceptional spirit to the Sunshine City.

The concept is in good company too. Located at 1047 Central Avenue in the former Genaro space, COPA is right next to The Independent Bar and Sweet Stack Shack. It’s also right in the heart of the EDGE District, an area in total renaissance.

“Signature wine and beer cocktails, tapas plates, upscale outdoor patio hookah and sounds from the world are coming together on buzzing Central Avenue in St. Petersburg’s Edge District with an inviting atmosphere and fresh vibe,” wrote the owners in Facebook post back in September.

The wait for the concept is finally over. The Grand Opening weekend is set for October 25-27. COPA is offering a free glass of champagne for its first time visitors.
