📍2930 Dr. MLK Jr. Street North

La dolce vita has arrived in St. Pete. This new spot is offering “Italian style” coffee, wine, pasta and more. Open daily for both morning and evening service. 

📍1942 1st Avenue South

A 100% gluten-free bakery, Adieu-Glu is home to gorgeous bagels, sourdough bread, giant sea salt chocolate chip cookies, babka, focaccia, and more. Be sure to call ahead to ensure she has the freshly baked goods in stock that you want.

📍397 5th Street South

The cozy bar opened in the Fall of 2023 and quickly earned a devoted following among the many residents living nearby with great wines, hot food, and more. Promising locally-sourced wines, The Cork Room has a wide variety of natural and specialty wines available in all forms.

📍589 22nd Street South

A modern cafe bringing elevated breakfast, brunch and lunch to the city. The concept soft opened at the end of January. Chef Mario Brugnoli, most recently of Rocca fame in Tampa, promises “food for your soul” and local art.

📍7498 Seminole Boulevard

BLTs and buckets of beer, anyone? One of our favorite downtown outposts for good drinks and eats is now open at a third location as of February 1.

📍515 22nd St S

The 10-in-1 culinary center offers much-needed commercial kitchen space and other resources for area chefs while also serving as a virtual food hall and a pop-up chef experience/event space.

📍95 Central Ave, St. Pete

An elevated Pan-Asian restaurant in downtown St. Pete, Fortu is one of the newest opens and it’s absolutely lovely inside. Their Miso Black Cod, Pork Collar with 24-hour char siu, and A5 Wagyu make are as beautiful as they are mouthwateringly good.

📍3000 Dr. MLK Jr St N

St. Pete’s Magnolia Heights neighborhood now has its first craft brewery! Golden Isles Brewing Co. is a gorgeous family (and dog) friendly brewery at 3000 Dr. MLK Jr St N. They converted the one-time gas station into a bright and open space for locals to gather. Read the full story!

📍170 Beach Drive NE

Cassis recently launched The Market at Cassis, showcasing freshly made pizzas, baked goods, full coffee service, and a wide range of to-go treats. Housed in the former Cassis Bakery, The Market transformed the neighboring locale into a pizzeria, café and market that provides tasty new offerings as well as a few of their old favorites

 

📍400 1st Street South

Boasting “coastal cuisine rooted in southern hospitality,” Sonata is being led by GM and Executive Chef Ted Dorsey, a longtime staple in the area dining scene. The massive moon art installation makes it a must-visit.

 

📍9191 Park Boulevard, Seminole

A darling coffee shop with unique sips and fabulous breakfast food. They serve some of the most beautiful toasts, breakfast sandwiches, and Japanese soufflé “fluffy” pancakes.

📍1921 West Bay Drive, Largo

A lifelong passion for cooking and hospitality has resulted in an incredible new Turkish restaurant in Largo. It opened near the end of 2023 and has quickly earned a cult following for its tasty and authentic eats.

Here are some of the best upcoming St. Pete restaurants you need to keep on your radar.

📍2823 Central Avenue
A restaurant focused on seafood, fried chicken, and welcoming vibes is coming to the Grand Central District. Tampa Bay local Nate Siegel, co-founder of Willa’s and Willa’s Provisions in Tampa, is leading the new concept. Cheeky’s says to expect an experience that combines a New England oyster bar with a fried chicken shack in the “open and breezy” casual space. Read the full story!

📍575 Central Avenue

A new fun dining experience is coming to downtown St. Pete, as ‘The Crane’ announced a January 2022 opening at 575 Central Avenue. The steak and seafood concept is being opened by the owners of Mangosteen, which has proved to be massively popular since it opened earlier in 2022. Read the full story!

📍6623 4th Street North, St. Petersburg

In a project that’s been in the works for more than two years, hometown favorite Kahwa Coffee is opening a first-of-its-kind café in St. Pete. This new café will not only feature a drive-thru, but it will be constructed entirely from repurposed shipping containers. Read the full story!

📍1650 Central Avenue

From the owners of Noble Crust and Fat Beet Farm, this will be a mashup of the two concepts, creating a craft cocktail bar, taking the atmosphere of an old world tavern, and wrapping it into a modern design. 📍St. Pete Pier – 335 2nd Ave NE

The St. Petersburg Museum of History announced today that the local Seed & Feed Hospitality Group is opening Perry’s Porch as part of the museum’s expansion. The indoor/outdoor concept will be a restaurant and coffee bar situated to the west of the museum’s main building. Read the full story!

📍Corner of 4th St S and 25th Avenue S

The beloved local bagel shop, Pete’s Bagels, is expanding with a new bagel production facility and pickup window in Gulfport. They’re also opening a new drive-thru bagel and coffee shop on 4th St S.  Read the full story here.

📍231 Central Avenue

The star of the new concept coming to the old Caddy’s on Central is the New York-style pizza which is made from family recipes for the dough and sauce that have been passed down for generations since its patriarch moved from Italy and perfected the recipes in NYC. It will also feature a hefty lineup of a local craft beer, as well as burgers and sandwiches. Read the full story!

One of our favorite downtown spots for tasty Mexican eats is about to open a west side location. Red Mesa Group announced today that Red Mesa Mercado is debuting a second location in the Pasadena area, at 6001 Central Avenue in St. Pete. Read the full story!

📍Tyrone Gardens

The celebrated food truck, which has three regular locations throughout Tampa Bay, is finally opening its first brick-and-mortar. Shiso Crispy is beloved for flavorful dumplings, sticky rice dishes, bao buns, and made-to-order lobster rangoon. Read the full story!

📍2520 Central Avenue

From the folks behind the wonderful Bandit St. Pete, comes a new spot promising “real wines” and “tasty bites,” with an opening date expected to be sometime in early-to-mid 2024. Read the full story here.

📍3650 Tyrone Boulevard North

The Sarasota-based Wicked Cantina is closing in on the grand opening of its first St. Pete restaurant. Loved for their margaritas and wide variety of Austin-inspired Tex-Mex cuisine, Wicked Cantina is also one of the few places left that offers free chips and salsa for the table (provided other purchases are made, of course). While the official opening date has not yet been set, Wicked Cantina has reached “any day now” status as final touches are being made to the property. Read the full story here.
