Multi-Family Residential Units, Retail Planned for EDGE District

There's an increased demand for apartments downtown in the Burg. The influx of foodie spots, antique markets, live music venue, local festivals and craft breweries have reshaped the city. The progress has gotten the attention of residents of the city, the state and beyond. Soon, the EDGE District could have new residential units.

A 6-story, 218 unit, 346,769 square foot multifamily residential building with ground level retail called Bainbridge has been propsed at 930 Central Avenue next to Anytime Fitness at the corner of Central Avenue and MLK. The estimated construction value of the project is roughly $35 million. The location currently used for temporary parking. Plans for the site also include a 258 space parking garage.

The project will be up for approval with St. Pete City Council August 25. The concept will feature a pool, four town home units, and an exercise facility. Bainbridge Companies is also working on a $43 million, four story, 240+ unit luxury apartment community in Ybor City. That project is expected to be completed by Spring of 2017.
