The Tampa Bay Rays saga continues. Today, ESPN reported that the MLB gave the OK to the Tampa Bay rays to explore options in Canada, at least on a part-time basis.
A schedule split between St. Pete and Montreal, does that make the team Snow Birds?

There’s an emphasis on part-time here. The Rays are locked into playing the state of Florida through the 2027 season. The team hopes that a split schedule could help the overall profitability of the club.
Of course, the idea itself may be a pipe dream for the team. Mayor Rick Kriseman took to social media and said he had no intention of bringing such an idea before City Council to consider.
One final thought for today on the stadium stuff: My stance isn't just about St. Pete. This is about all of TB. St. Pete and Tampa both have a rich history with baseball and we deserve better. Now let's cheer these awesome players on all the way to the World Series. #RaysUp
