Meet Macaws and Screech Owls at this seaside bird sanctuary

Blue and gold Macaws are absolutely stunning birds. Courtesy of one of the region’s bird sanctuaries, you can meet one in person while learning about their diets and habitat.

Seaside Seabird Sanctuary located in Indian Shores will provide educational lectures dedicated to the tropical birds. The sanctuary’s own Macaw, Nemo, will join Director of Operations Keith Wilkins at the presentation.

Other events of note include an Easter Egg hunt at the Sanctuary on April 13 beginning at 8am. Birders would also do well to keep the Screech Owl demonstrations on their radar, which occur every Tuesday and Thursday from 1:30-2:30pm.
