Massive Cheese Festival planned for St. Pete

Massive Cheese Festival planned for St. Pete

Fall is for foodies, and we’re ready to melt into the new season.

It’s easy to get cheesy when talking about the Burg. The local flavor is impossible not to love, literally. Gulf to Bay Food Truck Association continues to deliver themed food fests that combine our favorite comfort foods with the best chefs on four wheels in the Sunshine City. Coming this November is the third annual Oozefest.

The Burg is for cheese lovers

What is Oozefest? It’s cheesiest food festival in St. Pete. 23 local gourmet food trucks will line up at Albert Whitted Park (480 Bayshore Drive SE) with cheese-centric menus ready to satiate the appetite residents looking to get their pre-Turkey Day fix.

Is the event pet-friendly? 100% — and it’s great for families, too. There will be a children’s playground at the center of the event.

Don’t worry, there will be plenty of craft beer to sample in the beer garden.

The event runs from 6-11pm on Friday, November 16.

More foodie fests planned for the fall

Not ones for taking it easy, the Gulf to Bay Food Truck Association has several food festivals planned between now and November.

On September 21, the St. Pete Asian Street Food Festival will take place Albert Whitted Park from 6-11pm.

Be prepared to eat brains at Albert Whitted Park on October 19 when the GTBFA launches the St. Pete Zombie Food and Booze Crawl. Costumes are welcome and a zombie flash mob will take over the event. There will be face painting, candy for kids and more.

Do I have to buy a ticket to attend the festivals? No, all of these events are totally free to attend.
