Even after 13 years, good Kahwa coffee still speaks for itself. That’s right, one of the Burg’s staple coffee roasters just turned 13, and it’s grown exponentially since its first downtown St. Pete cafe.
Now you can find Kahwa in shops in both St. Pete and Tampa, in addition to the shelves of Whole Foods, Publix and Lucky’s Mart — not to mention Tampa International Airport. They even can their jolting cold brew.

Lucky 13 roast revealed
Kahwa just moved into a brand new 20,000-square-foot roasting facility. This allows the caffeine connoisseurs to continue their rapid growth and explore new avenues to get their coffee in front of a wider audience.
The milestone celebration culminated in the release of new brew called Lucky 13, which is a medium roast featuring Rwanda and Burundi African coffees. One sip and you’ll be tonguing the subtle flavors of lime and red grapefruit.
Today, Kahwa has more than one dozen locations spread throughout the Tampa Bay region and the brand’s surging popularity all but guarantees we’ll see more stores pop up in the near future. We’re not even including the number of bakeries, cafes and restaurants that also offer Kahwa’s roast to their customers.

Kahwa works to make their shops eco-friendly
We should add that this growth hasn’t stifled Kahwa’s efforts to be an arbiter from change in the community. The coffee shop was one of the first St. Pete businesses to join the No Straw’s St. Pete initiative and is still actively seeking ways to cut down on plastic waste at its shops.
Want to know where to find you Kahwa? Visit the coffee shop’s website, and follow them on Facebook and Instagram on updates for special blends, upcoming events and major store announcements.

Keeping the pastry game strong
P.S. Don’t sleep on their pastries. The shop just added Belgian waffles from the local company Pop Goes the Waffle and they are delicious. We could be alone in this, but they taste pretty great when gently dipped in a hot cup of coffee.
