With the onset of some many national and international destinations available to those of us who enjoy traveling in and out of Tampa or St. Pete/Clearwater, we’re taking a closer look at cities.
I Love the Burg, but… Montana!

A familiar scene with ideal summer weather
Breweries, arts and the great outdoors. Sounds a lot like St. Pete, but we’re talking about Montana. The 41st state in the union has become one of the more unique options to travel to and an ideal place to escape the Florida heat in the summer months of June, July and August.
We started our visit in Bozeman, a fast-growing hip college town filled with breweries, coffee shops, dozens of Airbnb rentals and a few hip hotels.

A culinary surprise was Dave’s Sushi. Probably one of the best sushi restaurants we’ve ever experienced. We know what you’re thinking “a good sushi restaurant hundreds of miles from the nearest ocean?” Yes, it’s true. Word is they fly fish in fresh on a daily basis from places like Alaska. Be sure to save room for their out-of-this-world butterscotch budino for dessert!
Nonstop splendor surrounds you
A few hours drive north will land you at Bigfork. We decided to rent a pontoon boat to cruise Flathead Lake for a day. The water is frigid so exploring is better than swimming. There are plenty of little islands and parks to check out.
Beauty surrounds you everywhere in Montana. Yes, you’ll want to make the trip to Glacier Park, but even road tripping through the state provides non-stop eye candy.
