Business is booming in St. Pete. Inc.’s annual release of its Inc. 5000 list measures the 5,000 fastest-growing private companies in the United States, and 13 St. Pete companies made the 2023 rankings.

A sign of how quickly the business world is growing in St. Pete – and the entire region – this year’s list of companies from the Burg nearly doubled last year’s number, which saw seven St. Pete rising stars make the cut. A full 28 Tampa Bay Area companies made the top 1,000 alone. And in fact, while the list of 5,000 only had 50 repeat rankers from 2022, there were five St. Pete companies who pulled off the repeat, displaying explosive growth for two years running: Neptune Flood Incorporated, Innowise, Summit Exercises and Training, Legendary Marketer, and A2 Global Electronics + Solutions.

StatPearls, a medical education company, topped the rankings among St. Pete companies, coming in at No. 304. Tampa-based AFC Logistics had the highest overall finish of any Tampa Bay Area company, checking in at No. 55 overall.

Neptune Flood, who earned the highest spot on the list among St. Pete businesses last year, was the fastest-growing among the five repeat companies, checking in at No. 732, after ranking No. 205 last year.
