On February 20, 2018, Yelp released their Yelp’s Top 100 Places to Eat for 2018 and among this list is a St.Petersburg hidden gem. The list compares restaurants nationwide and ranks them based on star ratings and number of reviews to create a master list of the best places to dine across the country. Ranked at #70 in the nation is Barracuda Deli Cafe in St.Pete Beach, FL.

It claims to be home of the best Cuban food and with 322 reviews and a five-star rating, it certainly has the reviews to back it up. Adam R. reviewed the restaurant saying “Wow! Just wow. If you are reading this and contemplating whether or not to go to Barracuda’s for lunch, just stop reading and go. Totally worth it…The food itself is nothing short of amazing for the area. Very well priced, and excellent portions! The flavors and seasonings they use are perfect and make for an absolutely delicious lunch! I ordered the Cuban sandwich, which it seems like they are known for, and a side of black beans and rice. I was not disappointed. One of the single best sandwiches I’ve ever had. Fresh ingredients, excellent flavors, superb meats, and tasty sides. What more could you want? Additionally, we sampled their new special of $5 margaritas. These were very tasty, if not a bit tart, but we loved every drop of them. We left wanting to come back again and try other items, as everything we saw looked mouthwatering! Overall, make sure you get there early, as the place fills up quick because everything is so good! Excellently well done, Barracuda’s!”

With reviews like this it’s no wonder why Barracuda is ranked so highly.  Be sure to check out this St. Pete Beach hidden gem, after all, it is ranked as one of the best in the nation!
