Grab & Go: Quick, Delicious and Fresh Meals Simplify Lunch

Grab & Go: Quick, Delicious and Fresh Meals Simplify Lunch

The lag of summer 2014 is coming to a close. With the fall season comes a laborious urgency that pushes the working world straight into the New Year. Long lines, waits for tables, extensive prep time; as a wise woman once said, "Ain't nobody got time for that!" Here a few new and staple lunch spots that'll have you in & out in a flash without depriving you of a savory lunch.

Top This Pie

Top This Pie has just recently entered the pizza arena in the Burg. This pie joint is unlike any we've ever had in St. Pete. The crew over at Top This Pie can make you your own custom pizza in just 3 minutes. All pizzas are made to order. They're able to churn out scrumptious dishes so quickly because of their imported Italian ceramic ovens. They also serve fresh, large salads loaded with cranberries, almonds and walnuts. End your meal with a unique gelato pop (Trust us, you'll be thankful) and you still have 45 minutes to spare on your break. Top This Pie located at 1535 4th St. North.

Sunspot Fresh Bar

The Sunspot Fresh Bar is new to St. Pete but is here to provide downtown workers and sauntering residents alike a healthy meal that is quick to prep and heaven for your taste buds. Sunspot offers a fresh spin on typical sandwiches as well as house made chips you'll want to order by the bucket. The biggest perk of Sunspot is their salad bar. It comes complete wit the normative fixings you'd come to expect at any salad bar but with a heavy emphasis on fresh fruit and unique dressing. Get fit and full in under 30 minutes. Sunspot Fresh Bar 601 Central Ave.

Brooklyn South

Brooklyn South is new to town but with the sandwiches they're delivering in St. Pete, you'll understand why they are bound to be an instant classic. Brooklyn South is owned by Matt Bonano, committee member of the American Cheese Society and trained chef from the Art Institute of Ft. Lauderdale. With his years of expertise and passion for locally sourced meats and cheeses, Brooklyn South blends seamlessly into the Burg community. You can walk in and make a custom cheese platter for yourself, grab a cup of St. Pete favorite Kahwa, and build your very own monster sandwich from a refined selection of their top meats and veggies. They're a juggernaut and after one bite you'll be hooked for life. Brooklyn South is located at 1437 Central Ave.

Taco Bus

To call Taco Bus iconic would be an understatement. On a Friday or Saturday night the line that amasses at Taco Bus is rather intimidating. Depending on the evening's spirits the line can morph into an indistinguishable circle where orders are fired off at random. Fortunately or unfortunately lunchtime during the week is a bit less hectic. Whether you're looking for a few fish tacos are bite of pollo asado, the Bus will spice up your midday and save you from that once inevitable 3pm slump. Taco Bus is located 2324 Central Ave.

Bodega On Central

With flavor in mind, there's no better place to add than Bodega On Central. With their soon to open expansion next door featuring a soda and smoothie bar as well as expanded seating, Bodega will be able to accommodate their loyal and insatiable patrons at a more rapid rate. Their lechon with rice, beans and maduros perfumes lime, garlic and onion. It's an exceptional meal that's over in a snap. Bring a Chi Chi Rodriguez back to the office, it's the perfect blend of lemon, lime and iced tea. A drink like that is clutch on a hot Burg day. Bodega is located at 1120 Central Ave.
