The dazzling display of Holiday Lights at the Florida Botanical Gardens is back for its 22nd annual season! With 1 million lights on display throughout their gardens, it’s one of the most magical displays in the Tampa Bay area. Located in Largo, the spectacle serves as the annual winter fundraiser for the gardens which are free and open to the public year round.

The event is free, but there is a suggested donation for entry of $10 per person over the age of 12 to help support the gardens’ mission. It starts every year the day after Thanksgiving and runs through the first day of the new year. Leashed pets are welcome to join you as you stroll along their (ADA compliant) festive lighted walkways.

If you’re looking for something to do this weekend, their annual gift & plant sale starts Friday, December 9th from 5:30pm–9:30pm and goes through Saturday, December 10 from 10am–10pm. It’s one of my favorite events to plant shop at because of how many incredible vendors exhibit.

You can visit the lights nightly through January 1, 2023 from 5:30pm–9:30pm. I’d recommend going on a weeknight as their weekends get busy quick. They do have a little bistro serving light concessions, hot cocoa, coffee, and hot apple cider. Parking is free at either of their two lots. For more information visit their website.
