The Foundation for a Healthy St. Petersburg and the Zero Suicide Partners of Pinellas are hosting a town hall for Black youth, their caregivers, and young adults to share their experiences with mental health and get connected to safe resources. This experience will be led by local Black leaders and mental health professionals.
Voices of the Future: Empowering Black Youth & Young Adults will provide an opportunity for today’s youth and young adults to ask questions from a panel, build connections with other young people, expand their caregiver support system, and provide input on what a more hopeful community might look like. Feedback received at the town hall will be utilized by local organizations to create initiatives to improve overall well-being and decrease rates of suicide within the Black community in Pinellas County.
This event is free and open to the public. Food and beverages will be provided and participants will receive a list of local free/low-cost resources.
