The Island Sisters Book Launch with Micki Berthelot Morency

June 20, 2023 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Free

Haitian American author Micki Berthelot Morency’s empowering debut novel, The Island Sisters, is filled with rich island culture, the human cost of abuse, and the unbreakable bond of friendship.

Tombolo Books is trilled to welcome local author, Micki Berthelot Morency to the bookstore to launch her debut novel, The Island Sisters.

Morency pulls from her experience as an advocate for women and children to depict the emotional journey of abuse survivorship and of women fighting for dignity, freedom, and their own lives. The Island Sisters is an empowering narrative told from alternating perspectives
of four women from Haiti, St. Thomas, and Guam. Micki Berthelot Morency has crafted four remarkable and hard-to-forget women whose fates are bound together by culture, by history, and most importantly, by a deep, irrevocable friendship.

Morency will be in conversation with fellow local author, Sheree L. Greer!
