Daq Shack set to open new location in the EDGE District

The Upper Deck of Ferg’s is about to get a beach makeover. The Daiquiri Shak, a staple joint on the beach, is headed to one of the most booming neighborhoods in the Sunshine City, The EDGE District. The Daq Shak’s Upper Deck location will feature an indoor bar and an outdoor tiki patio.

Owners Jeremy Runo, Greg Billings, and Skip Selle are set to deliver the same famed daquiris, fresh food, and friendly service to the new Central Avenue location that’s made its Madeira Beach location a popular hub for more than 20 years.

The Daq Shack will also serve as a venue for area bands and national touring acts.

“It is a very exciting time on Central Avenue’s booming EDGE District.” said the owners in a press release. “We want compliment the growth with a fun place for our guests to hangout, enjoy over 30 flavors of daiquiris, craft cocktails, or premium bourbons, while listening to incredible live entertainment.”

The Daiquiri Shak Upper Deck at Ferg’s should open in early spring. Follow the bar on Facebook for updates on a specific opening date.

They’re currently hiring for bar backs, line cooks, bartenders, servers, and security. You can see the full post on Daiquiri Shak’s Facebook page.

The Daiquiri Shak features 12 different flavor varieties that range from classic strawberry, to Cafe Lolita Coffee Liqueur. Guests can also sample a variety of light bites from the Daq Shak’s raw bar, burgers, and sandwiches.
