The foundation is established through the Community Foundation of Tampa Bay, which helps with administration and grant-making.

Creating new philanthropic opportunities in Tampa Bay

The Smith & Associates Real Estate Foundation helps focus and enhance the organizations commitment to supports non-profits. Its partnership with the Community Foundation of Tampa Bay creates and easy, seamless process for the team’s participation in philanthropic causes.

“Our success is measured not just by sales growth and volume but also in how we can contribute to making Tampa Bay, our home, a better place to live and grow. We regularly recognize our staff for their sales achievements and also for their philanthropic output, demonstrating the value we place on a holistic approach to doing business. The establishment of the Smith & Associates Real Estate Foundation ensures that our legacy of giving continues,” says Bob Glaser, President & CEO, Smith & Associates Real Estate.

Giving back to the community

Through the foundation, a proportion of Smith’s profits will be given back to the community. Smith employees will have the ability to seek corporate matches and/or sponsorships and bring a greater level of involvement to causes and organizations that are meaningful to them. The check was presented to the Community Foundation of Tampa Bay to launch the foundation on the terrace of their Beach Drive office.

The Community Foundation has a principal office in Tampa, and maintains staffing or offices in several areas within the five counties it serves. The new Pinellas office is located at 110 Central Avenue, one of St. Petersburg’s most vibrant streets.

The office in St. Petersburg will play a vital role in serving the growing number of the Community Foundation’s Pinellas County fundholders while improving the region’s quality of life through the power of charitable giving.

Office is open to local nonprofits

Now, philanthropists, nonprofit leaders and community partners in Pinellas can collaborate on ways to address our region’s most pressing issues without leaving their neighborhood.

“We often look to the business and community leaders who serve on our Regional Councils to guide our work as a collaborator, convener and catalyst in bringing resources to local communities,” said Spalten.

In addition, local nonprofits can hold meetings at the Pinellas office, and use the Community Foundation’s virtual meeting technology.
