St. Pete’s favorite shuffleboard party is back this weekend. Cocktails on the Courts, the annual fundraiser for the St. Petersburg Museum of History, returns to the St. Petersburg Shuffleboard Club on Saturday, October 14 from 7-10 pm.

Presented by Hennessy Construction Services, the Vintage Florida-themed gala is an incredible evening of drinks, dinner, music and dancing under the stars. The unforgettable event, hosted in one of St. Pete’s most historic venues, offers an elegant and entertaining experience, complete with unlimited Florida-inspired cuisine and cocktails.

There will be a headliner performance by The Ocean Road Band, a live Florida Art demonstration, a silent auction packed full of incredible items, and of course, all the shuffleboard you can dream of. Individual tickets start at $100, or get two for $175.

In announcing the event, the Museum of History said attendees will “dance under the stars, dine on Florida cuisine and cocktails, and celebrate unique St. Pete!”

Cocktails on the Courts benefits the Museum’s mission of preserving and presenting our city’s rich and unique heritage. VIP sponsor packages are also available, which include: admission for six to Cocktails on the Courts; a private court in the Stadium Court area; a reserved table; VIP bar service; and logo/name recognition on the private court signage and event program

The Museum has preserved history for 100 years

The St. Petersburg Museum of History recently celebrated its centennial here in the Sunshine City, as 2022 marked the museum’s 100th year in the Burg. The museum tells the story of St. Petersburg, from our brick streets and myriad piers, to two-headed calves and historic maps, plus much, much more.

The St. Petersburg Museum of History has begun work on a 10,000-square-foot expansion. This expansion will include prolific artist Ya La’Ford’s largest art installation to date. The 10,000-square-foot expansion will also include a ground-level Welcome Center and St. Pete-themed gift shop, while the Museum’s new exhibit Explore Florida! will bring St. Petersburg, as well as Florida history, to life on the second level. The crown jewel will be Flight Deck—a rooftop terrace for special events.

Also coming soon is Perry’s Porch, a new concept from the Seed & Feed Hospitality Group that will be part of the museum’s expansion. The indoor/outdoor concept will be a restaurant and coffee bar situated to the west of the museum’s main building. The menu will focus on fresh and local flavors and fresh catch. Chef Jon Robben has composed a menu that the museum says will not only allow for onsite dining but also provide guests with a one-of-a-kind “picnic basket” experience to take menu items with them while they explore and enjoy the St. Pete Pier.

Get tickets for Cocktails on the Courts now before they sell out. The event takes over St. Pete Shuffleboard Club on Saturday, October 14.
