Coast Bike Share will begin hub installations in the Burg Thursday, October 27, ahead of the program’s soft launch in November. The soft launch will include 100 demo bikes and 10 hubs along the waterfront and Central Avenue Corridor.

The 10 hub locations are:
- Bay Shore Drive & 5th Avenue North
- 2nd Ave Northeast at the Cross Bay Ferry Terminal within the Dolphin Parking Lot
- 1st Street & 1st Ave South
- 1st Street & 5th Avenue South
- 2nd Street & 1st Avenue North
- 1st Avenue South & 3rd Street
- 1st Avenue South & 8th Street
- 11th Street North & Central Avenue
- Central Avenue & 21st Street
- 2nd Street & 6th Avenue South
The program will open the demo system mid-day on November 1, with 100 green bikes, part of their corporate fleet made available to coincide with the launch of the Cross Bay Ferry. With a single membership, Coast Bikes will be available to passengars in the Burg and Tampa. Interested residents can register for Founding Memberships, an annual pass which includes Coast swag and 90 minutes of daily ride time. These memberships cost $99 per year. Other membership options include the Annual Memberships with 60 minutes of daily ride time at $79, Monthly memberships at $15 and $20 including 60 and 90 minutes of ride time per day, as well as a Pay As You Go option billed at $8 an hour for visitors. Ride times can be broken up throughout the day at member’s leisure.
Coast Bike’s builds on the CityTrails Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan that’s added more than 110 miles of bicycle facilities across the Burg.
