Clearwater Marine Aquarium (249 Windward Passage) just welcomed two new furry friends—Irwin and Bindi, a pair of juvenile kangaroos now ready to charm visitors this spring break. The young joeys arrived thanks to a partnership with Amazing Animals, Inc., adding a touch of Australian wildlife to the marine-focused attraction.
Irwin and Bindi are both 11 months old and full of energy. Irwin, named after the late wildlife legend Steve Irwin, loves to hop around and explore. Bindi, named after Irwin’s daughter, has a curious and adventurous spirit. These playful marsupials offer guests a rare chance to get up close with one of Australia’s most iconic animals.

Interact with kangaroos in a cozy setting
Visitors can catch educational presentations about the joeys’ natural behaviors, feeding habits, and conservation efforts to protect their species. Clearwater Marine Aquarium also introduces the Pouch Pals Baby Roo Encounter, where guests can interact with the kangaroos in a cozy setting. Participants can hold and bond with a joey while it snuggles into a pouch. The experience is open to adults and kids ages 5-12, priced at $49.95 per person. Children must have a paid participating adult, and each encounter includes a complimentary photo.
Beyond the kangaroos, CMA is showcasing several fascinating animals during spring break. Visitors can meet a Hermann’s tortoise, a blue-tongue skink, a bearded dragon, a ball python, and even a hedgehog. These encounters highlight the aquarium’s mission to educate and inspire guests through hands-on animal experiences.
