One of Treasure Island’s most popular sports bars is trading beach life for city life. CJ’s On The Island is moving into St. Pete this spring and becoming CJ’s On Park, located at 5631 Park Street North.
CJ’s On The Island, located at 115 107th Avenue North in Treasure Island, will have its last day on April 30, with CJ’s On Park opening in May this year. It appears that while the location is new, CJ’s will maintain all the things that made it a popular spot to watch games, play pool, or sing karaoke on the beach.
In fact, it seems those offerings will only be expanded. Despite having more than 5,000 square feet of space currently – a massive footprint, given beach expectations – CJ’s says they will have even more room in the new location, with the added bonus of free parking. The new spot is in a Publix shopping center, Eagles Park Plaza, and appears to be taking over the location of Buffalo City Bar & Grill.
CJ’s has promised “amazing new concepts” to become part of the new location, including food, live music, a full bar, karaoke, music/event rooms, games, and of course, tons of big TVs showing all the best in sports year round.
CJ’s has been open more than 10 years on Treasure Island, and has won a multitude of awards in categories such as best karaoke, best singles hangout, best place to play pool, and best club night. The bar hosts karaoke six nights a week, including live band karaoke on Wednesdays. They are also popular among fellow hospitality employees for their generous service industry night specials.
CJ’s On The Island is open 11 am – 3 am daily, and we expect the new location to offer similar hours. Stay tuned to I Love the Burg for more details.
