This Tuesday, you can have dinner with the Mayor and let him know your thoughts on the future of the city. Mayor Ken Welch and the City of St. Pete are in the middle of “Mayor Welch’s City Hall On Tour event series,” and the next event takes place on Tuesday, September 19 from 5:30-8 pm at the Lake Vista Recreation Center.
Welch and the City are hosting these open house style events once every quarter in different areas of the city, providing an opportunity for all residents to ask questions and address concerns with key City leadership. The Mayor will be joined by city administrators, the Police Chief, department directors, and more, with the ultimate goal of listening to and learning from residents about their needs.

As part of the community-centered night, freshfreshments are being provided from a variety of local restaurants. At this come-and-go open house, residents are invited to stop in to chat with city leaders, express any concerns or thoughts, and enjoy something nice to eat.
The rec center will continue normal operations outside of the event, so youth programming will be available throughout the evening. The Lake Vista Recreation Center is located at 1401 62nd Avenue South.
The first City Hall on Tour stop took place in March at the Walter Fuller Recreation Center. The quarter four tour stop will be hosted December 5 at the Childs Park Recreation Center from 5:30-8 pm.
