Cluck-cluck, y’all. This Friday is National Chicken Wing Day, and 3 Daughters Brewing is hosting its annual Chicken Wing Festival to celebrate the occasion.
While the brewery will be open all day, the deep-fried deliciousness runs from 6-10 pm, as four of the bay’s best food trucks will be duking it out with specialty chicken wings and all the sides and fixins. Each of the four trucks will also be serving their full regular menu (though obviously the wings take center stage) and will set up in the parking lot of 3 Daughters and the Five Deuces Galleria. Attendance is free, with food available for purchase individually from each truck.
The featured food trucks include several I Love the Burg favorites, with La Strada Mobile Kitchen, Silver and Smoke, Funnel Vision, and Maggie on the Move all joining the festivities. We’re particularly looking forward to trying Silver and Smoke’s smoked wings for the first time, a truck we’ve heard great things about.
You can be my wing man any time
Silver and Smoke is old school BBQ on wheels, toting its smoker around Tampa Bay and dishing out platters of brisket, ribs, ½ chickens and more, with traditional sides like cornbread, smoked beans, mad anc cheese, and coleslaw. Their smoked wings will be available in four flavors on Friday – Carolina Cue, Raz Q, Sesame Ginger, Jerk and plain smoked wings.
And if you haven’t yet had La Strada’s iconic Garlic Parmesan Wings, hasten to the festival and check them out. We’ll also be looking forward to seeing what Funnel Vision and Maggie on the Move come up with for the occasion, as they are two of the most creative culinary minds in the St. Pete food truck game. Rumor has it Funnel Vision may bring back their blueberry chipotle wings.
Stick around after your meal(s) for a show by The Spazmatics on the 3 Daughters stage from 8-11 as they bring their entertaining ‘80s show to the brewery. 3 Daughters Brewing is located at 222 22nd Street South.
