Casita Taqueria to open third location by January

Casita Taqueria to open third location by January

Casita Taqueria is growing again. Back in August, owners Don and Gwen Arvin announced that Casita would open at 2991 66th Street North, with the help of the Vitale Bros. The wait is nearly over, taco lovers.

The spot famous for its flavor pack Casita bowls — and their fish tacos IMO — offers spicy delights residents can’t get enough of. Once the iconic Beer Tacos insignia is painted on the exterior, the Tyrone area of St. Pete is in for an unprecedented treat.

Ring in the New Year with Casita Taqueria

Don and Gwen Arvin hope to have the location ready by January 2019.

Once they open, what should diners who have never tried Casita before order?

Churros. Treat yourself to a hefty amount of churros. The fluffy, cinnamon coated handheld dessert fresh from the frier at Casita is divine.

Don’t sleep on the pescado tacos. We might sound like a broken record, but oh my COD these tacos are fantastic. The lightly blackened cod carries a tempered kick and the homemade pineapple salsa that comes on top is a total palate refresher.

Top veggie tacos in Tampa Bay

Even carnivores crave the verduras tacos at Casita. The veggie tacos are filled with zucchini, summer squash, red peppers, pico de gallo, chipotle mayo and cilantro. This fierce garden medley on a corn tortilla is an indulgence you can feel good about.

Need to feed the proverbial beast? Order the barbacoa tortas. This behemoth features generous portions of shredded pork, guac, shredded cabbage, diced onions and cilantro of homemade telera bread.
