Burg Bits: Tropic Airways Lands at Albert Whitted, The Brass Tap Opens…

Tropic Airways soars through St. Pete and Ft. Lauderdale

Tropic Ocean Airways was founded in 2009 by Navy fighter pilot Rob Ceravolo, and run by U.S. Veterans. The Florida-based air service recently launched twice weekly flights from Albert Whitted Airport (SPG) in the Burg to Ft. Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL).

The service runs Mondays and Fridays with flights departing St. Pete at 8:24am and 5:54pm. Flights takes between an hour and an hour and a half and cost $99.50 one way.

Tropic Airways brings its new Wheeled Cessna Caravan Ex aircraft to the Albert Whitted runway. The Wheeled Cessna holds up to 9 passengers and two crew members and features executive style seating. The new addition to St. Pete allows local residents to experience more of this exceptional state conveniently. The flights also open up St. Pete's blooming art and food scenes to new visitors on a far more frequent basis. Click here to make your reservations today.
