Blush blooms on MLK Street
Hey tea lovers, we just found your new go-to spot. Blush just recently debuted in the MLK Biz District, and it’s a relaxing spot to sit back, sip some tea, and get your work done.
Opening this hub for pastries and meticulously selected teas was always a dream for owner Lori Bishop, who, according to the Blush website, left her job in the corporate world after 28 years to pursue her passion.
In addition to Blush’s 90+ tea varieties — the menu is one satisfying novella — Blush also offers supremely refreshing sparkling tea sodas. That’s the summer sizzle we were talking about.

Beans & Barlour launches boozy seltzer desserts
Beans & Barlour is Candy Land come to life, or Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory. What we’re getting at is, this place is friggin’ fantastical and the ultimate “treat yourself” spot in the Sunshine City. Now, in the summertime, the boozy dessert hub is stepping up its game with spiked seltzer dessert cocktails. What’s on the menu?
First up, the White Claw Mangonada. What’s in this tall glass? Mango White Claw slush layered with Chamoy and fresh mango, topped with a can of Mango White Claw, tamarind candy and a Tajín sprinkled mango. Yea, this just entered our must-try list.
They’re also launching seltzer sorbet floats in lime, black cherry, mango and raspberry. They’ll be available for a limited time, so savor the flavors of summer while you still can.
