If you're a fan of Localtopia, and you follow all the exceptional events and businesses that our Burg advocates over at Keep St. Petersburg Local promote, then you're aware of the upcoming LOCALICIOUS week-long extravaganza.

Localicious is an event that asks St. Pete residents to eat and shop locally the week of October 12-19. Keep St. Petersburg Local will highlight locally-made food and drink along with local restaurants, breweries, growers, markets and community gardens through events.

Sunday, October 12: Localicious Community Pot-Luck/Picnic Kick-Off from 11am-3pm at Pinellas Pioneer Settlement, Inc (3120 31st St. S.). Bring a homemade dish made with local ingredients to share with others. Tour the community Garden and enjoy live music at the general store.

Thursday, October 16: Local Meltdown – Grilled Cheese/Mac-N-Cheese/Anything Awesome with Cheese Throwdown! From 6-10pm, 12 amateur chefs compete in three cheesy categories. Your purchase of a tasting ticket allows you to vote for the best creations in each category. Need more incentive? There will be a VIP tasting experience for attendees with Mazarro's Cheese Room. Event will take place at NOVA 535 (535 Dr. MLK Jr. St. N.)

Saturday, October 18: LOCAL BUDS: An OctoBEER Farmer's Market. Our good friends at Green Bench Brewing will host a farmers market from 3pm to midnight. Over 20 local businesses unite with beer-centric collaborations which showcase locally made food and drink, local growers and organic products. Live music will be performed by Nick Boutwell. Green Bench Brewing (1133 Baum Ave. N.)

Oktober Fest In The Grand Central District

St. Pete Oktoberfest is on Saturday, September 20. The event begins at 1pm on the 2800 block of Central Ave. The event will feature live music by Have Gun, Will Travel, one of our top 7 Tampa Bay area bands, along with games, contests and beer.

Oktoberfest will serve as a fundraiser for the Grand Central District Association. The event is free to attend and free parking is available throughout the Grand Central District. The day will offer a variety of arts/crafts vendors and a kids area so the whole family can enjoy the day!
