Dickey’s BBQ Pit Coming to St. Pete

Grand Prix Debuting a Digital Coupon Book

Can you hear the vroom vroom howl of the Indy Cars? Smell the burnt rubber and smoking gravel of Bayshore Drive? The Firestone Grand Prix is only a couple of weeks away and they are introducing a new initiative to better integrate St. Pete businesses into their weekend-long festivities. The Grand Prix Digital Coupon Book is a unique free marketing opportunity. Posters, hand fans, social media traffic and several other marketing outlets will be driving traffic to a URL that will redirect visitors to the mobile-friendly city website that will host the coupon book encouraging residents and visitors to come to your business. A submission form can be found here. Forms are due by Monday, March 24.

The Grand Prix is also seeking volunteers to act as city ambassadors. Ambassadors will be stationed at Gate 1, Gate 5, along Beach Drive, along Central Avenue and near the parking decks closest to the track. Volunteers will advise those who do not know about the race, direct people to gate entrances, provide direction to areas of interest and provide a link to a mobile site that will allow visitors to get discounts at local businesses. 

Chihuly Expands Retail Space

The renowned Chihuly Collection has undergone renovations for the past 6 weeks and on April 4 will kick off their new Beach Drive retail space with a Grand Opening Ceremony. The celebration will showcase new retail products from local artists of all mediums, handcrafted and specialized products and a new focus on a more extensive inventory of Chihuly branded merchandise. A temporary exhibition space has been put in place of their former retail store. This new space will feature glass artsts from around the country in a rotating showcase.  The Chihuly Collection can be found at 400 Beach Drive in downtown St. Pete.
