The 4th Annual Liquid Desires Craft Beer Party is Saturday, August 23, beginning at 8pm. Scroll to the bottom of the article to enter for your chance to WIN a pair of tickets to the event!

This exceptional event hosted by The Dali Museum celebrates the incomparable breweries that have made the state of Florida one of the emerging craft locations in the country. The atmosphere for the evening will reflect Dali's fixation on double images and his irreverent passion for pathos and illusion.

This event coordinates with the Dali's latest exhibit, Marvel's Of Illusion, which compiled the artists most optically engaging and enigmatic pieces that seem to rearrange themselves each time you alter your perspective. During the evening feel free to pixelate your portrait and lose your own facial qualities in a Dali masterpiece.

General admission for the event is $50 and VIP tickets are $85. Local breweries St. Pete Brew Co. and Green Bench will be among the honored and featured fermentors who have taken the science of craft beer and turned it into art. Burg favorite Urban Brew & BBQ will be among the contributing restaurants the night of the event serving unique dishes that ride the charismatic flavor palate mirroring the aesthetics of Dali.

The event is sponsored by *tbt, J.J. Taylor, Warren Averett and Tires Plus. Liquid Desires begins at 8pm and goes until 11pm. Dali Museum, 1 Dali Blvd. To purchase your tickets now, follow this link.

Carmada: Arts and Autos

Earlier in the spring, the Museum Of Fine Arts and the duPont Registry hosted a gala in North Straub Park featuring some of the Burg's rarest contemporary and classic cars. With the anatomy of autos now paralleling that of a computer's, there seems to be an enhanced nostalgia for the days of DIY car kits and old American muscle.

This nostalgia intertwined with an endeared appreciation for the science and fanaticism that goes into a vehicle have correlated to create CARMADA. This mobile art movement began in March of this year at the Annual Raymond James Gasparilla Arts Festival. The movement takes over the Burg on September 27.

The event is done in partnership with Creative Pinellas and the City Of St. Pete. The event will feature custom art cars by regional artists, live painting, interactive projects and crafts from community arts organizations. Food trucks will be on hand and DJ Blenda will be spinning all day.

Proceeds from the event will go to benefit Creative Pinellas, Class Acts Performance Series arts education for school children and professional local artists. A $5 suggested donation at the door includes FREE craft activities. Confirmed artists include Sebastian Coolidge, Derek Donnelly, James Oleson, Stephen Palladino, Hunter Payne, Joshua Pearson and the NOMADstudio Art Bus.

Saturday, September 27, 10am-6pm. Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts 500 Bayshore Drive SE.
