A popular Tampa-based Argentinian restaurant has officially opened in the Sunshine City. Renzo’s, featuring gourmet steaks and wines, has already proved a popular hub for soccer fanatics and foodies alike.

Located at 104 2nd Street South, in the space formerly occupied by Z Grille, Renzo’s features an extensive wine program and desserts that are ah-may-izng.

Select from more than 100 Malbecs

Connoisseurs can select from more than 100 Malbecs and other rare South America Varietals like the Carmenere, Torrontes or Uruguayan Tannat.

So, what’s for dessert?

Try the chajá cake of dulce de leche, Alfajores cookies and do not sleep on the baked empanadas. This is certainly a spot that could become the proverbial cheat meal headquarters of downtown.

Flavors of Buenos Aires in the Burg

“Renzo’s St Pete will bring the true Buenos Aires bistro experience, where time seems to stop, and conversation is easy,” the owners wrote in a message on the restaurant’s website.

Words don’t do the steaks justice. Diners can expect to sink their teeth into skirt steak or picanha sirloin churrascos, served with freshly made chimichurri. Carnivores, you are in for a treat unlike any you’ve experience in St. Pete before.

Follow Renzo’s on Facebook and Instagram for updates on hours, specials and new menu items.
