Surterra Wellness, a medical marijuana dispensary, is preparing to open on 4th Street in the space formerly occupied by Shep’s (2001 4th Street North).
At the same time, the organization is partnering with Jimmy Buffet to launch a new medical marijuana brand, Coral Reefer.

Cannabis-based products are made in Florida
All of the company’s cannabis-based products are grown in their greenhouse in Florida, which is one of the largest on the East coast. There are currently ten Surterra dispensaries open in the state, including one in Tampa, with more planned in the future.
In addition to vape pens and oils, the dispensary also carries topical lotions and creams that deliver a non-psychoactive dose that’s almost immediately effective.
Customers can also shop for transdermal patches — a more discreet medicinal delivery method. The effects of the patch can last anywhere from eight to twelve hours.

Surterra offers free home delivery
Surterra Wellness offers free home delivery for all of their products — a service that’s becoming evermore popular in states where recreational marijuana is legal. Their website has a helpful search option to link you with a physician in your area qualified to decide whether or not medicinal marijuana is the proper remedy for your ailments.
As for now, only medicinal marijuana for certain conditions is legal in the state of Florida. Though sentiment for full legalization is growing across the state.
CBD businesses booming on 4th Street
Surterra Wellness isn’t alone on 4th Street. Trulieve opened their own dispensary at 8435 4th Street North. It also has locations in Clearwater and Tampa. Dr. Feel Good, a CBD superstore, also opened its doors next to J Wags at 2312 4th Street North.
