Much like St. Pete itself, this big festival in The EDGE District has something great for everyone. Cherried Events brings back the 3rd annual Brews, Bands and Buds Battle of the Breweries, this Saturday, March 1 from 1-6 pm at Ferg’s Sports Bar & Grill.
The easy-going festival has become an annual favorite of the I Love the Burg team, not only showcasing an all-you-can-sample brewery battle but also featuring a variety of non-alcoholic and functional drinks, along with stellar local musicians on the main stage. Attendees can explore a walk-through market with local makers and vendors, and the entire event is dedicated to supporting Pet Pal Animal Shelter. Adding to the excitement, Axe and Ale will be offering walk-up throws and lane rentals, with half of the proceeds going directly to Pet Pal. It’s a full day of fun, community, and giving back—all in support of a great cause.
GA tickets to the Battle of the Breweries include sampling from all the breweries on hand. VIP tickets include VIP seating, and all you can eat Fergs Famous Wings. The “Judges Tickets” allow each guest to sample, judge and rank their favorite breweries, with the overall winner taking home the title at the end of the night.
More than a dozen local and national breweries will be onsite pouring their goods, from local newbies like Golden Isles and Voodoo Brewing, hometown favorites like Coppertail and 3 Daughters, and national stars such as Sunking and Founders.
Additionally, the outside seating area at Ferg’s will be transformed into a sprawling market showcasing local vendors of functional and NA beverages, foods, and more. There will also be select local artisans as part of the market, featuring their handmade wares. Access to the market is free for anyone.
Plus, there will be an MMJ Patients Only lounge area, where cardholders can bring their medication and enjoy the festivities.
What to know:
- Date and time: Saturday, March 1, 1-6 pm
- Cost: GA tickets are $30, and VIP tickets are $60.
- What’s included: All tickets come with a commemorative cup, 4-6oz pours of beer from each brewery, scorecard. VIP tickets also receive access to the VIP area, all you can eat wings, and reserved seating.
