Are you ready to cozy up with your favorite book and a gorgeous bottle of wine? We’ve had our eye on a new business teasing their arrival in the Burg for months now. Called Book + Bottle, they lured us in with the promise of being “a bookstore with wine | a wine bar with books”.
The wait is over and the mystery unlocked. Book + Bottle announced to their newsletter subscribers on August 7 that they’ll be moving into the vacant space at 17 6th St N formerly occupied by Holmes Shoe Repair in the Shoppes at First. Fingers crossed, their target date for opening their bookstore/wine bar double threat is December 2019.
As the shop was beloved by the community, they will be beginning a build-out in the near future. It will include “adding bookshelves, a bar, comfy seating, and restoring some super cool historical architectural features”.
In the meantime, we highly recommend signing up for their email newsletter. Yesterday we received the first of their “readers + drinkers digest” and the monthly book + bottle pairing suggestion was the quality content we’re looking for in life.
