Beans & Barlour, St. Pete’s own boozy Candy Land, expanding to historic Snell Arcade

Beans & Barlour owner Story Stuart will open a new location at 407 Central Avenue in St. Pete in June 2021

You can even eat the dishes at Beans & Barlour, a dreamy booze-infused dessert hub that’s delighted diners throughout the ‘Burg for years. Owner Story Stuart’s imagination knows no bounds. She’s transformed her quaint space on 1st Avenue North into Hogwarts, WIlly Wonka’s Chocolate Factory, a Girl Scout Cookie milkshake machine, a hot cocoa bomb manufacturer, and most recently the Easter Bunny’s HQ.

In addition to operating the brick-and-mortar, Stuart has expanded with a moble Beans & Barlour bar that has popped up at the EDGE Collective, and other sites throughout downtown St. Pete. You can also catch Beans & Barlour at Tropicana Field.

IF you couldn’t tell, this is huge news for the business.

“For the first time ever, we will be able to be open for daytime coffee and breakfast service…we will be expanding our authentic NY bagel menu to include affordable breakfast sandwiches and catering options,” wrote Story Stuart in an email to I Love the ‘Burg.

One tantalizing new item on the menu is an epic grits bowls. The Beans and Barlour team is working on expanding pastry options. Beans & Barlour also plans to expand its retail offerings like boozy pints and custom ice cream cakes.

“We will still be offering all of our well known desserts, milkshakes, cocktails and more,” Stuart assures, putting to ease any anxiety that your favorite dessert might disappear from the menu. “We will be moving production offsite to a new production space for wholesale customers and new locations to be announced later this year.”
